Eight and a
half years ago, I was in Costa Rica, when I found out that I was pregnant. As
we were eating a lot of guanábana [soursop in English] at that time – a remarkable, round, newborn-size
fruit – we named the unknown little thing inside me Guanabana. He was known by
that name until he was two months old.
This
afternoon I tasted fresh guanábana for the first time in eight years.
